Hear ye not the hum, of mighty workings?
- John Keats
How your organization works and how your organization
interacts with your customers has never been so important
as in today’s business environment. When the web
came of age in 1994 many organizations passed it off
as a fad, some still do. However, technology like the
web, mobile phones, sms text-messaging, email and others
have slapped us in the collective face and awoken us
to a world of challenges and possibilities.

The manager's role in controlling costs is the single most important
function in any company. From large to small, from an FMCG to a
service organisation, from an extensive product range to a one-product
company, each relies on the efficient and effective control of
costs.
There are a few primary sources of incoming funds and where they
come from can be as important as how much there is. The ability to
control, use and manipulate cash flow can have a dramatic effect
on a company’s fortunes, and can turn an organisation from
one that is surviving on a day-to-day basis to one that is highly
profitable and valued.
This practical, highly interactive programme will provide you with
the opportunity to learn how to report and analyse the cost contribution
to your company’s performance successfully. You also have the
opportunity to gain credits from the recognised institution, AAFM,
after completing this programme. This is your step to a better career
and achieving financial designations.
Understand the need for cost control and cost management
Identify different ways to calculate costs and how best to determine
your company’s profitability and plan for future investments
and expansion
Supply cost information for use in pricing decisions
Predict cost behaviour by estimating costs
Earn a Cost Accountant Certificate from the American Academy of Financial
Management
